“ It might take a little time to realise there is a cosy restaurant tucked behind the Portuguese decor outside, but once you step inside, it is an intimate space with wine bottles bracketed on the walls above. It was Valentine's Day, so busy as expected and the normal menu was replaced with an 8-course tasting with 3 mains offers. Rosé Sparkling Wine Codfish Croquettes Kale Soup Meat & Cheese Deli Platter Garden Salad We opted for Seafood Rice and Atlantic Red Prawn Pasta. Portuguese Egg Tart 3 Varieties of Port The service was attentive and the owner was entertaining with historical facts about Portuguese cuisine and Asian trade. We enjoyed a bottle of red alongside our homely dishes. Everything was simple and authentic, not tailored to impress. It really felt like you had stepped into someone's home for dinner, and the evening was meant to be shared and memorable. We were the last ones to leave, snuggling Max the dog and yacking to Louis over our third glass of Port. We were kindly treated to a bottle as we wandered out into Sheung Wan lanes merry and full! ”

“ Owner is nice and shared with us some brief background of this cozy little restaurant. The entrance is extremely private, with limited seats available. The cod fish dishes are exceptional. The most remarkable dish has to be the sardines pasta. The Portuguese egg tarts are quite different from what we can usually eat in local restaurants, maybe what we usually eat is a not-so-authentic rendition of the dessert. Overall, nice cozy spot for a laid-back meal. It takes time to finish the meal, so not for those who are looking for a quick fix. ”

“ Portuguese Perfection Have been yearning for Portuguese food since our relaxing trip to Lisbon, Portugal. Run by husband and wife team, plus dog Max. The owner mentioned they don't do fancy food; everything is simply homemade. I could find the way they serve, explain all dishes in detail with elegant chinaware which is original from Portugal, as well as most of the ingredients too. For me, they were just like 5-star hotel standard. I ordered 4 main dishes, seafood rice, grilled sardines, octopus, and mussels that night, and it was delicious, which I thought the dishes would be very salty cuz I travelled to Lisbon a few years back. Eventually, it was not salty at all, and the taste was just perfect for me, and they said the food adjusted to the Hong Kong standard cuz they know that Portugal food is salty, which doesn't suit Hong Kong people. An authentic Portuguese experience, to repeat and recommend Thank you for the hospitality, ”
